I'm In Heaven at Glacier National Park

Two Sketches of Mountains at Logan's Pass.

This is Heaven's Peak on The Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park.

I took the Red Bus Tour on The Going-to-the-Sun Road.
Emily was the driver and tour guide for Red Bus 90.  She could drive and talk at the same time. The original Red Buses were built in 1936 for the National Park.   Ford  re-did them in 2003.
Of course we waited for construction.

I sat in the front with Emily.

                                                  It was quite a ride!

Quick Sketch!

Quick sketch!
Glacier is called the Swiss Alps of North America.  The motto of The Great Northern RailRoad was:
See America First!

I really enjoyed The Red Bus Tour on Going-to-the-Sun Road.

The ride back was thrilling. We saw three Mountain Goats grazing in the Alpine Meadow.  One Mother and  baby. No, I didn't get a picture or a sketch.

I needed a little red paint for this sketch.  Onward to Glacier Institute and Watercolors.
The spelling and spacing mistakes are the fault of the blogger.com or whatever.  It couldn't be me?

  1. hi, Love your sketches and photos! Just an FYI, I was there in 2002 for the grand presentation of the Red Buses. It was spectacular! Again thank you for posting this!
